Just a quick preamble from me as League Manager of SSSCCRRL and on behalf of us – A MASSIVE thank you for supporting the league again in 2025. We believe we made a positive impact in the grassroots element of road racing across open and female categories in 2025 – the implementation of age category GC’s from our perspective was a success and we will look to develop that offer in 2026 with a few new exiting additions.

You are invited to the below event which last year was a great evening. We would love to see as many of you there as possible by way of thanks for supporting West Midlands Road Racing in this past year.

Firstly, a huge thank you for supporting the West Midlands road racing season in 2025.

You’re warmly invited to our West Midlands Road Racing Volunteer Night – an evening for the West Midlands Regional Board and the WM Road Race Working Group to celebrate your efforts, present to the riders and say thanks for everything you’ve done this season.

Location: Copt Heath Golf Club, 1220 Warwick Rd, Knowle, Solihull, B93 9LN (just off the M42)
When: Saturday 22 November 2025 — arrive from 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start

Special guest: John Herety

John is Britain’s most experienced road team manager, with almost 40 years in the job, including pro teams such as JLT–Condor and repeated stints with Great Britain—most notably directing Joe Blackmore to overall victory at the 2024 Tour de l’Avenir. He helped to found the Great Britain road academy and, back in the day, was professional road race champion of Great Britain with COOP–Mercier and an Olympian (1980).
