Matt Gee (Team Corley Cycles) sprinted to victory in round six of the South Staffordshire and Shropshire Road Race League held at Penkridge.
Conditions were perfect for the 74 riders who were split into five handicap groups to compete over five laps of a seven mile rolling circuit.
Gee, 22 and from Lichfield, was part of the scratch group which caught the remaining four groups with just over five miles to go.
In a frantic bunch sprint Gee powered through the middle to take his second win of the series by a bike length from Mike Jones (Paramount CRC) in second and James Locker (V-Sprint) in third.
